Arlington Heights Memorial Library

A Virtual Zoom Presentation

Foodscaping with Leslie Meredith

Date/Time:  Thursday, June 4, 7:00 to 8:30 pm

"The Arlington Heights Memorial Library asked if the garden club could offer any virtual programming in June.  Leslie Meredith raised her hand and will be delivering a foodscaping presentation via Zoom on June 4th from 7-8:30 pm.  Foodscaping, aka edible landscaping, is becoming a popular way to grow food without having a formal vegetable garden.  Window boxes, trellises, hanging baskets and containers can all be used containers can all be used to grow fruits, herbs and vegetables. Many pretty edible plants look great tucked into ornamental borders and beds, and several types of trees

and shrubs produce fruits and berries that can go right into your next smoothie.  In this presentation, Leslie will show participants how to plan their own foodscape with plenty of examples to inspire them.  Registration is free and does not require a library card, but does require registration on the library's web page.  We hope you will be able to join the program."
